Chapter 183
"When did | fire you?" Bill asked impatiently.
"What? So it's not true? Then why did Angela say that to me? Mr. Graham, everyone knows you're fair and
unbiased, even against your own daughter. How will you punish Angela for falsely accusing you and bullying me
today?"
Bill was rendered speechless. Punishing Angela was out of the question, given that he depended on her supply of
medicine for his survival. Nora needed to stop spewing such nonsense.
Nora looked at Angela complacently, as if she were certain that the latter would be punished. After all, she was
Bill's most competent assistant.
"Ms. Rutherford, why do you seem to dislikeso much? Why are you so eager forto leave the company? |
just don't get it." Angela smiled coolly, her eyes showing disdain.

had nothing to fear.
Nora seemed thrilled, confident that things would go as she expected.
At that moment, Bill smiled softly and said, "You're my daughter. I'd never let you suffer."
Nora's expression transformed immediately upon hearing his words. She was so taken aback that she
momentarily lost her composure. "Mr. Graham, what do you mean by that? You shouldn't—"
"As for you, you're fired. Please go to HR to process your resignation. We'll provide you with the compensation
you deserve." Bill's tone was authoritative and final.
Nora's eyes widened in disbelief, and her face turned pale.
"What... what did you say, Mr. Graham?" She was in shock and stared at Bill in disbelief, unable to string her
words together.
He simply sneered. "Leave. You're an eyesore."
With a wave of his hand, two assistants clad in black entered and promptly dragged Nora out.
"Are you satisfied now?" Bill turned to Angela. However, his gaze lacked the warmth and tenderness one would
expect from a father. Instead, it was filled with barely contained anger and resentment.
Thankfully, Angela was used to it. She replied indifferently, "She brought this upon herself. It has nothing to do
with me."
After that, she turned to leave. The oppressive atmosphere in the office was so suffocating that it nearly made
her nauseous.
Bill stopped her. "Hold on! When will you arrange for that doctor to see me?"
Angela sighed, as though she had anticipated his question. "I've mentioned this countless times. | don't know the
doctor. Dexter's the one who knows him, and as you know, my relationship with Dexter isn't very good. If he
refuses to givethe doctor's contact, there's nothing | can do."
"our

expenses either." Without waiting a second longer, Angela turned and walked out.
After finishing her work for the day, Angela headed to the parking lot. Just as she was about to drive away, she
noticed the car next to hers flashing its lights.
She faltered and instinctively glanced over. To her shock, it was the last person she ever wanted to see-Trevor.
She ignored him and headed home, but Trevor's car trailed behind hers. She couldn't figure out his
intentions. After stime, her phone rang. It was a call from him.
