Chapter 213
There was a murmuring on the other end of the line that seemed to bother Dorian. His brow furrowed, and he
hung up the phone, standing up abruptly. "Something's cup again. | barely got comfortable, and now | have
to leave. Let's catch up another day."
"Alright, go take care of what you need to."
"I will. Hey, you finally got through it all, so how about dinner onsometto celebrate?"
Finnian nodded, seeing Dorian out before returning to his desk. He couldn't help but think about Dorian and
Elysia, which led his thoughts to drift toward his own situation with Amara. A wave of fatigue washed over him,
and he pinched the bridge of his nose. He asked his assistant to bring him a cup of coffee before diving back into
his work.
The following evening, Amara invited Elysia and Keith over, filling the table with dishes and popping open a
bottle of champagne. The three of them cheered, ready to feast.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAmara took a moment to tweet, announcing her newfound single status after her divorce, and then logged off
immediately. She didn't bother checking the comments, but she was sure the news would trend. Her divorce only
meant Liliana would soon be marrying that high-profile investor, and plenty of people were keeping tabs on the
.
"Ama, did you tell your dad about the divorce?" Elysia asked.
Amara nodded. "I messaged him around noon. He didn't reply."
"He probably saw it and chose not to respond. Your dad's really old-school, and divorce is like a slap in the face
for him. He's probably avoiding you," Elysia commented, pursing her lips.
"Well, if he doesn't want to talk, you do the same," Keith chimed in. "If he is unwilling to look after you, I'll..."
Before he could finish, a sharp pain shot through his foot, and he yelped.
Keith set down his fork and glared at Elysia, who had just stomped on his foot under the table. Yet she
maintained her cheerful demeanor, chatting away with Amara.
Fuming, Keith shot her a look that asked, "What the heck was that for?"
Elysia, catching on, continued her conversation with Amara while texting Keith, [Hold off on the whole 'I'll take
care of you' speech. Ama just got divorced. She probably doesn't want to jump into another relationship right
away. Don't rush the confession.]
Though Amara seemed happy, Elysia could see she hadn't fully moved on from Finnian. Keith, apparently, hadn't
noticed and was rushing to confess his feelings.
[Fine, fine, I get it. I'll follow your lead.]
Albeit a bit grudgingly, Keith couldn't deny that Elysia had a better read on Amara.
If Elysia was convinced that Amara wasn't ready for a new relationship, then he would hold off on confessing his
feelings, deciding to wait for the right moment. Picking up his glass, he took another sip of his drink.
The dinner went on joyfully, wrapping up around half-past eleven. The three of them tidied up the living room
before Elysia and Keith headed home.
As Elysia was on her way back, a thought struck her, making her heart lurch-did Keith know Amara was
pregnant? The idea jolted her sober. She had been supportive of Keith pursuing Amara, but if Ama was carrying

When she got home, Elysia called Amara to let her know she'd gotten
back safely. After scasual
chit-chat, she asked nonchalant
"By the way, you're about two

months along, right? Does Keith know you're pregnant?"
"He doesn't."
